PRESS RELEASE – For immediate release
2019 Teton County Pediatric Disaster Preparedness Full Scale Exercise
On June 26th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm Teton County will conduct the 2019 Teton County Pediatric Disaster Preparedness Full Scale Exercise in partnership with the Teton County Sheriff, Teton County Fire & Rescue, Teton Valley Health Care, Air Idaho Rescue, and Life Flight Network. The exercise will utilize a mass casualty scenario with multiple patients from a vehicle crash event at an intersection on the east side of Driggs by the airport. It will incorporate medical response coordination, medical surge, and on-scene security and protection capabilities.
The purpose of the exercise is to evaluate and improve agency responses to a pediatric disaster, identify gaps in resources, and implement a coordinated recovery strategy that prioritizes resources required for the response. For more information, please contact Greg Adams at 208-354-2703
