Incident Date: March 2, 2019 09:05am Incident Address: 8071 S. 4500 West, Victor, Idaho
At approximately 9:00 am Teton County 911 Dispatch Center received multiple 911 emergency calls reporting a large explosion. Teton County Fire & Rescue and Teton County Sheriff’s Office units were dispatched to the incident in the vicinity of 8000 South and 4500 West.
The first arriving Fire units discovered a building approximately 2,000 sq. ft. which had exploded with fire burning in three areas of the rubble, a down power transmission line, and a small group of citizens providing aid to one injured individual.
Firefighters removed the patient, began providing emergency medical services, and evacuated the people from the immediate danger area. The patient was transport via air ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Electric and gas utilities were secured, fire extinguished. An investigation of the explosion is ongoing at this time.
