TETON COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS CERTIFIED TO INSTALL CAR SEATS, Apr 10, 2013
TETON COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS ARE NOW CERTIFIED CAR SEAT INSTALLATION TECHNICIANS
The Teton County Fire Department have completed a 3 day class to become certified car seat technicians. Anyone with car seat age children is encouraged to stop by the station and have your car seats checked, free of charge. Checks include proper installation, proper seat for a child’s size and a check against the recall list for all seats. National statistics show that 80% of child restraints are used incorrectly. Properly used child restraints reduce the risk of death in passenger cars by 71% for infants and 54% for toddlers, ages 1-4 years. Teton County Fire would like to do our part in making sure the children in our community are properly protected in vehicles around the valley. Car seat checks can be performed at the Driggs or Victor fire stations.
